Felicitare cu țărancă torcând, varianta c, 12,4 x 18 cm

[English and German below] Această felicitare, disponibilă într-o serie inițială limitată, prezintă o scenă din covorul Oltenian paradise din colecția Galeriei Kiliman.

This card, available in a limited edition, features a scene from the Oltenia Paradise rug from the Kiliman Gallery collection. This carpet is a kilim from Oltenia region, probably made in the interwar period, which depicts two representative scenes for the life of the Romanian peasant: a pastoral scene, in which we have a shepherd playing the flute, together with a flock of sheep and a shepherd’s dog, and another scene in that a woman spins wool in her courtyard. The carpet also has other symbols that bring to mind the Paradise of Romanian mythology: Apa Sâmbetei surrounding the Earth, the two peacocks in the center, the Tree of Life, the snake.

This card can be a suitable gift for someone who appreciates folk art or textile arts in general, whether Romanian or foreign. It can accompany a book or a handmade object – such as a carpet – for Easter, Christmas, birthday or any other occasion. It can also be framed and placed on a wall or desk. The card is delivered in an envelope.

This series of greeting cards is made in Switzerland. The photos are taken at Caseta Studio, Bucharest.
